Reading Music (Please use Page View on all music samples)

All music is written on a Staff which is composed of lines, spaces and measures (divided by bars)

As you check out the page Reading music from the staff, note the following:

  1. The Finger Chart is really important if you do not have a Recorder teacher.

  2. Play with the Midi sound.  Then, try playing on your own and again with the sound.

  3. When you have mastered reading and playing the familiar tune, you are ready.

Now try this combination of notes (quarter, half and whole) and practise your sound (tonguing) and your reading and your rhythm (Count 1,2,3,4).  If you feel that your rhythm is wrong, turn up the sound and play along.
