This website will assist students in the practice and enjoyment of the soprano recorder.  Although constructed for the use of beginning students, it may be useful to anyone beginning recorder especially those with basic music reading skills.  It will require downloading a small free Midi player (Notation Player) which will be used to read, play and print the music and also practise the pieces presented.  The music opens on your computer and you can listen to it, play along with or without the sound, and print it for use without the computer. Instructions for downloading the free file "Notation Player" are shown on the Notation website.

Click here (Word) or here (Notepad) if you prefer specific instructions. It may be easier to print this page before you begin. Good luck!

Background music is Come by the Hills  (Sequenced by Barry Taylor)
